The Alocasia Black Velvet is native to Borneo, is a compact jewel variety known for its distinctive dark leaves with contrasting white veins and a unique velvet texture. This space-saving plant features the iconic elephant ear leaves of Alocasia species but remains small in size, making it suitable for various indoor settings.
The plant has a tuberous and compact growth pattern and requires frequent but minimal watering to keep the soil moist without becoming waterlogged. It thrives in medium to bright, indirect light, ideally in a north or east-facing position.
