Further information on your plant
All plants are measured from the bottom of the nursery pot to the tip of the plant and if a height is specified, this is an approximate height, not set in stone. As all plants are living things, they will vary in size throughout the year, and we do our best to give a guide as to the size you can expect. If in doubt drop us an email hello@leafculture.co.uk. And lastly, minor flaws in leaves might be present and will not be covered for compensation. It's worth noting that plants naturally age like people and are rarely perfect.
Here's a stunning plant that will captivate you with its beauty and elegance. Known for its glossy, heart-shaped leaves and vibrant blooms, this Anthurium variety is a true showstopper.
The 'Champion Lilli' cultivar boasts large, lanceolate leaves that showcase a deep, lustrous green color. The glossy foliage adds a touch of sophistication to any space, making it a perfect choice for both modern and traditional interiors. With its compact size, it fits well on shelves, desks, or as a centerpiece on a table.
What truly sets the 'Champion Lilli' apart are its magnificent flowers. The vibrant, flamingo-like inflorescences stand tall above the foliage, creating a striking contrast. Each flower is characterized by its glossy, heart-shaped spathe in various shades of pink, ranging from delicate pastels to rich, deep hues. The spadix, the central spike within the spathe, complements the coloration with its contrasting yellow or white shade. The combination of colors adds a touch of exoticism and allure to your indoor garden.
The 'Champion Lilli' is not only visually appealing but also easy to care for. It thrives in bright, indirect light, making it an ideal choice for well-lit living spaces. Avoid placing it in direct sunlight as it may scorch the leaves. Maintaining a warm, consistent temperature between 15°C to 24°C ensures optimal growth. Regular misting or placing the pot on a pebble tray filled with water helps create the humidity levels it loves.
When it comes to watering, it's important to strike a balance. Allow the top inch (2.5 cm) of soil to dry out before watering again, as Anthuriums prefer slightly moist but not waterlogged conditions. Overwatering can lead to root rot, while underwatering can cause the plant to wilt. Finding the right balance will help your 'Champion Lilli' thrive.
Please note we keep these plants under intense LED lighting so the flowers can often be a more purple than pink. With less light, they revert back to the light pink colour you see in the images.
