Philodendron Atabapoense is a houseplant native to Brazil. It’s a climbing variety that needs little maintenance in order to flourish. When this plant is small, it won’t need any vertical supports but as soon as it gets a bit bigger, it will need support.
The leaves themselves are relatively long in comparison to the height of the plant which shows how impressive the leaves will be as the plant matures. Like most leaves, they’re elongated but this time with purple undersides. New leaves have a touch of yellow to them and green up as it gets older.
Bright indirect light is best for Philodendron Atabapoense and well-drained soil. Repotting is recommended as soon as white roots start showing at the bottom of the pot and for that, we suggest Soil Ninja Premium Monstera and Philodendron Blend. Keep humdity levels up to avoid drying out of the leaves - don't forget this plant thrives in humid environments.
In summary, an easy to grow houseplant with impressively long leaves which given time will offer that WOW factor. A must for any plant collector.
