All plants are measured from the bottom of the nursery pot to the tip of the plant and if a height is specified, this is an approximate height, not set in stone. As all plants are living things, they will vary in size throughout the year, and we do our best to give a guide as to the size you can expect. If in doubt drop us an email hello@leafculture.co.uk. And lastly, minor flaws in leaves might be present and will not be covered for compensation. It's worth noting that plants naturally age like people and are rarely perfect.
Senecio rowleyanus, commonly known as String of Beads, String of Raindrops, or String of Watermelons and is the laid-back, boho-chic houseplant that's all about the chill vibes. Native to South Africa, this unique succulent has become a trendy addition to homes and apartments.
The teardrop shapes leaves are easy on the eye and easy to care for. Prefering bright, indirect sunlight and doesn't need much water. In fact, overwatering can be its kryptonite, so it's all about keeping it on the dry side. If you've heard that they're difficult, it's simply plant parents over watering.
The hangers on these baskets can be removed so if you prefer your String Of Pearls to sit on a bookshelf or sideboard, it will be no problem.
Important notice: The String of Beads come coiled in the packaging to safeguard them during transportation. When you unwrap them, we advise delicately untwisting the coils and carefully separating the vines around the pot. Rushing through this process may result in losing some of the beads, so take your time. Allow the coils to hang for a few days before gradually parting the vines (patience is key). While some loss of foliage is inevitable, these plants are known for their rapid growth and will regenerate swiftly.

I was very happy with this little beauty. It was bursting with vines and looks beautiful hanging from my shelf. In the pic it’s the middle plant in a white pot.
