Caladium humboldtii is a charming little plant with a lot of personality packed into its small, heart-shaped leaves. Unlike the big, showy caladiums you might know, this one stays petite and delicate, making it ideal for tabletops, shelves, or terrariums. The leaves are dark green with crisp white speckles or veins that look like they’ve been gently painted on—almost like a starry sky or splattered artwork. It does sit quite flat so takes up more of a footprint that others - this can be beneficial of course in the right setting.
It enjoys a bit of humidity and gentle, indirect light, which brings out its best colours. Water it when the top of the soil feels dry, and it'll stay happy. Caladium humboldtii tends to go dormant in winter, so don’t be alarmed if it disappears for a while—it’s just resting and will pop back up when it’s ready. It’s a sweet, low-fuss plant that adds a touch of charm without needing the spotlight.
My first order with this company couldn't be any better.
Super fast next day delivery, safe and recyclable packaging, very good prices (both plants and postage) and a personal email from management was a nice touch. Thank you all, keep up an amazing work
