📝 Description

Sansevieria boncellensis, also known as the starfish snake plant, is a compact, slow-growing succulent prized for its unique fan-like arrangement of cylindrical, fleshy leaves. These thick, grey-green leaves often display faint, darker green bands and radiate out from the base in a rosette, giving the plant its starfish-like appearance. Native to arid regions of Africa, this species is highly drought-tolerant and thrives on neglect, making it a great choice for beginners or low-maintenance plant collections.

Ideal for bright, indirect light but also tolerant of low-light environments, Sansevieria boncellensis is extremely versatile indoors. It stores water in its leaves and requires minimal watering—typically only when the soil is completely dry. Its sculptural shape and architectural appeal make it an attractive addition to desks, shelves, or small spaces. Like other Sansevieria varieties, it's known for its air-purifying qualities, helping to filter toxins and improve indoor air quality.
