Senecio rowleyanus is a trailing succulent known for its distinctive bead-like leaves that cascade neatly over the edge of pots and shelves. It’s a popular choice for hanging planters or high spots where its natural form can be appreciated.
String of Pearls is relatively easy to care for. It prefers bright, indirect sunlight and requires minimal watering. Overwatering is its kryptonite, so it's all about keeping it on the dry side. If you've heard that they're difficult, it's often because plant parents overwater them which will cause them to rot.
Growth is steady in the right conditions, with longer trails developing over time. Best suited to brighter rooms and plant owners who are comfortable with a lighter watering routine.
Important notice: The String of Pearls comes coiled in the packaging to safeguard it during transportation. When you unwrap them, we advise delicately untwisting the coils and carefully separating the vines around the pot. Rushing through this process may result in losing some of the pearls, so take your time. Allow the coils to hang for a few days before gradually parting the vines (patience is key). While some loss of foliage is inevitable, these plants are known for their rapid growth and will regenerate swiftly.
