Monstera adansonii is a lovely looking houseplant and similar to the classical cheese plant that most of you are familiar with hole-filled leaves. In the jungles of Central and South America, it thrives in the shade of taller trees, with the holes in its leaves allowing light to reach its lower foliage. As a houseplant, these holes give it a unique and appealing look.
Caring for Monstera adansonii is straightforward. It prefers medium light and moderate watering. We like to feed our plants all year round and this means when it comes to the spring summer, they really jump into action.
Tip: Monstera adansonii is often mistaken for Monstera obliqua. It's common to see adansonii mislabeled as obliqua, but they are distinct plants. If you find a reasonably priced "Monstera obliqua," it's almost certainly an adansonii.
My first order with this company couldn't be any better.
