Description

Melocactus matanzanus, the Turk's Cap Cactus, is one of the most distinctive cacti you can grow. Its spherical green body features neat ribs lined with short spines, but the real showstopper is the vibrant red cephalium—a woolly cap that crowns mature plants and produces delicate pink flowers followed by tiny red fruits.

This Cuban native is a slow-growing collector's gem that thrives in bright, direct light and well-draining cactus soil. Once the cephalium appears, you know your plant has reached maturity, and the display only becomes more dramatic over time. Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry completely between waterings, and reduce further in winter.

During this time, you must provide photos of the plant as evidence. After the 7-day period, we cannot process any claims, as it falls outside of our live arrival guarantee.

Important: Repotting your plant within the first 7 days will void our guarantee.

Delivery

Order before 4pm (Mon–Fri) for same-day dispatch. Orders are fully trackable. We use Royal Mail Tracked 24 for most parcels, dependent on weight. If it's heavy, then it needs to go via DPD.

Shipping starts from £4.95 for Tracked 24 and £7.95 for DPD Express.

I purchased a Magnificent 75cm Alocasia Zebrina Elephant Ear plant. Absolutely stunning. The plant was so healthy with baby leaves coming aswell. PACKAGING came in a huge tall 'Live Plants" cardboard box. So secure with all the stuffing, the plant pot itself was bagged and tied in a recyclable plastic bag so no soil fell out.
