Further information on your plant
All plants are measured from the bottom of the nursery pot to the tip of the plant and if a height is specified, this is an approximate height, not set in stone. As all plants are living things, they will vary in size throughout the year, and we do our best to give a guide as to the size you can expect. If in doubt drop us an email hello@leafculture.co.uk. And lastly, minor flaws in leaves might be present and will not be covered for compensation. It's worth noting that plants naturally age like people and are rarely perfect.
Crassula ovata 'Gollum,' commonly known as Gollum Jade or Finger Jade, is a striking succulent with unique, tubular leaves that resemble little fingers or pipes. The leaves are a vibrant green but can develop red tips when exposed to bright light or stress, adding a pop of colour. This variety of jade plant has a compact, bushy growth habit and makes for an interesting addition to succulent collections or as a tabletop plant. It's a variation of the traditional Crassula ovata (Jade Plant), but with more unusual, elongated leaves that give it a distinct appearance.
Like most succulents, Crassula ovata 'Gollum' is very easy to care for. It thrives in bright, indirect light and prefers well-draining soil to prevent root rot. Watering should be done when the soil is completely dry, and it’s best to avoid overwatering. It’s quite drought-tolerant, making it perfect for beginners or those with a busy schedule. As a hardy succulent, it can handle some neglect but will reward you with vibrant, healthy growth if given the right conditions. Just keep in mind that like other jade plants, Gollum Jade is toxic to pets if ingested, so it should be kept out of reach of curious animals.
