Hoya Sunrise is a popular hybrid known for its elongated, almond-shaped leaves that develop striking red and purple tones when exposed to bright light. The leaves are deep green with subtle veining, and under the right conditions, they blush with dramatic sun-stressed colours—hence the name. Like many Hoyas, it may eventually produce clusters of small, fragrant, star-shaped flowers, but most people grow it for its foliage.
This plant is easygoing and thrives in bright, indirect light, though a bit of morning or late afternoon sun helps bring out those colourful leaf tones. Let the soil dry out between waterings, and use a well-draining mix to keep the roots happy. Hoya Sunrise is a slow but steady grower, ideal for trailing or climbing depending on how you train it. It's perfect for a sunny windowsill or hanging spot where the leaves can show off their full colour potential.
We offer a 7-day health guarantee for all plants. This means you have 7 days from the date your plant arrives to report any damages. During this time, you must provide photos of the plant as evidence. After the 7-day period, we cannot process any claims, as it falls outside of our live arrival guarantee.
Important: Repotting your plant within the first 7 days will void our guarantee.
