Meet Astrophytum myriostigma, commonly known as Bishop's Hat or Star Cactus – a distinctive and captivating addition to your plant collection. Its appellation is inspired by the star-shaped ridges that adorn its dome-like structure, resembling the hat worn by a bishop. One of the easiest houseplants ever!!

What sets Astrophytums apart is their individuality; no two plants are identical. Exhibiting 3-7 star-shaped spikes, their colours vary, from a glossy vibrant green to those with tiny white dots, creating a strikingly bright appearance.

Unlike typical cacti with their sharp spikes, Astrophytum myriostigma boasts a smooth and aesthetically pleasing surface. This makes it an ideal choice for cactus enthusiasts who appreciate the charm of these plants but prefer a more gentle touch.

Taking care of Astrophytum myriostigma is a breeze, aligning with the straightforward care routine of many cacti. Embrace its love for sunlight by placing Astrophytum in direct sunlight on a windowsill or in a spot with bright, indirect light.

Watering: This drought-tolerant plant thrives with minimal water and prefers to dry out between waterings. During summer, check your plant monthly, and as the days get colder and longer, reduce watering to every 2-3 months.

When in doubt, remember this golden rule: It's better to water too little than too much.

During this time, you must provide photos of the plant as evidence. After the 7-day period, we cannot process any claims, as it falls outside of our live arrival guarantee.

Important: Repotting your plant within the first 7 days will void our guarantee.

Delivery

Order before 4pm (Mon–Fri) for same-day dispatch. Orders are fully trackable. We use Royal Mail Tracked 24 for most parcels, dependent on weight. If it's heavy, then it needs to go via DPD.

Shipping starts from £4.95 for Tracked 24 and £7.95 for DPD Express.

I purchased a Magnificent 75cm Alocasia Zebrina Elephant Ear plant. Absolutely stunning. The plant was so healthy with baby leaves coming aswell. PACKAGING came in a huge tall 'Live Plants" cardboard box. So secure with all the stuffing, the plant pot itself was bagged and tied in a recyclable plastic bag so no soil fell out.
