📝 Description

Senecio rowleyanus, commonly known as String of Pearls, is the laid-back, boho-chic houseplant that's all about the chill vibes. Native to South Africa, this unique succulent has become a trendy addition to homes and apartments.

Imagine a cascade of tiny, spherical leaves that resemble delicate pearls strung together. That's the String of Pearls, and it adds a touch of whimsy and natural elegance to any space. It's like Mother Nature's version of a trendy necklace.

String of Pearls is relatively easy to care for. It prefers bright, indirect sunlight and requires minimal watering. Overwatering can be its kryptonite, so it's all about keeping it on the dry side. If you've heard that they're difficult, it's often because plant parents overwater them which will cause them to rot.

The hangers on these baskets can be removed, so if you prefer your String Of Pearls to sit on a bookshelf or sideboard, it will be no problem.

Important notice: The String of Pearls comes coiled in the packaging to safeguard it during transportation. When you unwrap them, we advise delicately untwisting the coils and carefully separating the vines around the pot. Rushing through this process may result in losing some of the pearls, so take your time. Allow the coils to hang for a few days before gradually parting the vines (patience is key). While some loss of foliage is inevitable, these plants are known for their rapid growth and will regenerate swiftly.

Ok

I don’t know if I was spoilt with the rest of my order, but of 12 plants this was the only one that disappointed. There are not as many vines on it as I’d hoped there would be and some gad detached from the soil (I have laid them back down as, from experience, they do reattach and resume growing). I have tried to grow this variety before from baby plants with difficulty, so I was hoping to get a really ‘bushy’ health one this time to get a good start. In the pic, this one is in the jute pot on the left. In terms of the rest of the order, I was very impressed with this company in general, I had an order of 12 plants and almost all of them actually exceeded my expectations in terms of their growth/bushiness/size. Every single plant was very healthy, with glossy leaves. The delivery arrived 36 hours after being placed (which was late at night) in robust and sustainable packaging. Personal touches also, good customer service and I loved the fact that I had an unexpected email saying that, as a result of my order, they had planted a tree in the Madagascar mangrove forest via Tree Nation. Wonderful.

Thank you for the feedback - they did come in leaner than we'd hope but the growers decide the size before they consider it ready to be sold. Nonetheless we very much appreciate any feedback and we'll continue to improve :)
