The Philodendron Red Emerald is a real beauty and is sure to catch your eye. The stunning red stems and glossy heart shaped leaves grow up the mosspole and really add to the decorative element of this lovely house plant.
This unique, eye catching plant is actually very easy to keep and falls into the easy category of plants so if you're a beginner, you've little to lose. It likes bright indirect light with moderate humidity so misting it a few times a week will help it's look and overall health.
Prefers a minimum temperature of 15C and watering must only be done when the top 2 inches of the soil are dry. It's very tropical looking too so adds a touch of exocticness into your home.
One unique tip for Philodendron Red Emerald with Mosstick is to periodically rotate the Moss Stick to encourage even growth and prevent the plant from leaning too much to one side. This can be especially important if your plant is getting a lot of light from one direction or if it is growing towards a particular light source.
To resolve this just make sure you rotate the plant a quarter turn every week. Doing this will encourage denser growth which will improve the overall look of this delightful house plant.
