Description

Alocasia Dragon Scale is a captivating variety of Alocasia known for its deep green, scale-like leaves that resemble dragon hide. Native to the tropical forests of Borneo, this plant has thick, leathery foliage with prominent veining and a subtle metallic sheen that gives it a rich, almost mystical appearance. The leaves have a slight dome shape, adding dimension and making the plant look sculptural even when it's not large. It typically stays compact, making it a popular choice for collectors and those wanting an eye-catching plant in smaller spaces.

In terms of care, Dragon Scale thrives in bright, indirect light. It prefers high humidity but is generally more tolerant of average indoor conditions than some other Alocasia types, such as the Silver Dragon. A well-draining potting mix, regular misting or a humidity tray, and stable temperatures will keep it happy. While it can go dormant during colder months, it usually bounces back well in spring. With the right environment, Alocasia Dragon Scale offers year-round beauty and a bold, almost fantasy-like presence.

We offer a 7-day health guarantee for all plants. This means you have 7 days from the date your plant arrives to report any damages. During this time, you must provide photos of the plant as evidence. After the 7-day period, we cannot process any claims, as it falls outside of our live arrival guarantee.

Important: Repotting your plant within the first 7 days will void our guarantee.

Delivery

Order before 4pm (Mon–Fri) for same-day dispatch. Orders are fully trackable. We use Royal Mail Tracked 24 for most parcels, dependent on weight. If it's heavy, then it needs to go via DPD.

Shipping starts from £4.95 for Tracked 24 and £7.95 for DPD Express.

I purchased a Magnificent 75cm Alocasia Zebrina Elephant Ear plant. Absolutely stunning. The plant was so healthy with baby leaves coming aswell. PACKAGING came in a huge tall 'Live Plants" cardboard box. So secure with all the stuffing, the plant pot itself was bagged and tied in a recyclable plastic bag so no soil fell out.
