Bring a touch of Hawaii into your home with the Brighamia insignis, also known as the Hawaiian Palm or “Alula.” Its tall stem and rosette of glossy leaves give it a mini palm tree look, and mature plants may even produce creamy-white, star-shaped blooms.
Easy to care for, it thrives in bright, indirect light, needs well-draining soil, and only requires watering about once a week. It’s normal for this plant to drop leaves—especially in summer—leaving natural scar markings on the stem. Unique, low-maintenance, and tropical, it’s a true statement plant for any collection.
