Sansevieria Laurenti goes by many names such as Snake plant; Mother-in-Law’s tongue; Viper’s bowstring hemp to name but a few. Its similar to other Sansevieria, namely Sansevieria futura but there is a difference.
Sansevieria Laurenti = tall and skinny
Sansevieria futura = short and chunky
If you're new to keeping house plants, the Snake Plant could be one of the easiest plants around requiring almost no care. They survive for months without water and little or lots of light. So if you're forgetful, this could be for you. Snake Plants you see, are succulent plants, which means it store water in their leaves!
The long, slender leaves grow in a graceful shape, adding height and visual interest to your space. Popular in the bedroom with their air-purifying properties, they release plenty of oxygen at night which can only help improve your sleep.
