Calathea roseopicta Crimson is a star in the houseplant world that's all about boldness and style. The colours of this plant are very striking. Part of the Calathea family, this variety flaunts purple leaves adorned with stunning variegation in shades of dark green along the edges of the leaves. But here's where it gets even better – these leaves have a warm, sunset-pink glow that's absolutely mesmerising.
This captivating houseplant doesn't have any wild roots, though. It's a specially bred variety designed to bring the wow factor to your home. Originating from the rainforests of South America, the Calathea roseopicta Crimson prefers a bright spot and not too much direct sunlight. Keep the soil moist, and give it a little misting to keep the air humid – fertilise with every water and use a de-chlorinator if possible (along with room temperature water).
