Further information on your plant

All plants are measured from the bottom of the nursery pot to the tip of the plant and if a height is specified, this is an approximate height, not set in stone. As all plants are living things, they will vary in size throughout the year, and we do our best to give a guide as to the size you can expect. If in doubt drop us an email hello@leafculture.co.uk. And lastly, minor flaws in leaves might be present and will not be covered for compensation. It's worth noting that plants naturally age like people and are rarely perfect.

Tradescantia Sweetness is most likely a cultivar or variety of the Tradescantia genus, which includes popular houseplants like Tradescantia zebrina (Wandering Jew) and Tradescantia pallida (Purple Heart). Compared to other Tradescantia, this variety has smaller leaves about 3cm long and 2cm wide. The purple is a bit more lilac and the green slightly muted, giving it a classy look. The stems are quite densley planted too.

Easy to care for - it doesn't need a great deal of water or attention and does well sat on a windowledge as long as it doesn't receive too much sun. It does very well in a hanging basket and the stems are too heavy for the plant to support as it gets bigger. Tradescantia Nanouk grows at a moderate pace, so just remember to keep up with the watering regime although don't water too often as this always causes root rot.

Tiip: to create a more bushy plant, simply trim regularly with a sharp pair of scissors.
