Philodendron micans is a fan favourite for its soft, velvety leaves that shift between deep green and bronze, depending on the light. The heart-shaped foliage trails beautifully, making it perfect for hanging baskets or shelves where the vines can cascade. It's part of the Philodendron hederaceum family, but its unique texture and subtle shimmer make it stand out from the crowd.
This plant is easy to care for—happy in bright, indirect light but tolerant of lower light too. Let the top inch or two of soil dry out between waterings, and it’ll thrive. Micans grows quickly and responds well to pruning if you want to keep it bushy. Like most philodendrons, it’s toxic to pets if ingested, so it’s best to keep it out of reach of cats and dogs.
