Information on plant sizes

All plants are measured from the bottom of the nursery pot to the tip of the plant and if a height is specified, this is an approximate height, not set in stone. As all plants are living things, they will vary in size throughout the year, and we do our best to give a guide as to the size you can expect. If in doubt drop us an email hello@leafculture.co.uk.

Calathea roseopicta "Dottie" stands out for its beautiful foliage with deep burgundy tones and crimson-like veins - it really is very striking! These leaves feature a slightly waxy feel to them meaning they don't need as much watering as other plants as they leaves reduce evaporation by being slightly waxy (to look at anyway!).

That said, they do really enjoy moist soil so don't let them sit in water but just be mindful they do not like drying right out like some houseplants. Calathea roseopicta Dottie is not a fast growing plant so don't expect new leaves every month, but it will look very pretty in your home and is already a firm favourite here at Leaf Culture
