📝 Description

Epipremnum pinnatum, commonly known as Devil's Ivy, is a gorgeous and versatile houseplant that is well-loved for its trailing vines and attractive heart-shaped leaves. This particular plant has been grown on a pole for dramatic effect.

Epipremnum pinnatum is an easy to care for plant able to adapt and thrive in various lighting conditions. It can tolerate low to bright indirect light, making it suitable for different areas within your home. However, it's worth noting that the plant may display the most vibrant look in brighter light conditions. Just be cautious of exposing it to direct sunlight for extended periods, as it can scorch the leaves.

This climbing house plant is low-maintenance, which is great news for plant lovers of all levels. It prefers well-draining soil and should be watered when the top inch of the soil feels dry. Avoid overwatering, as it can lead to root rot so if in doubt use a moisture meter. It's always a good practice to check the soil moisture level before watering to ensure you don't unintentionally drown the roots.

Epipremnum pinnatum is known for its vigorous growth and its ability to develop long, trailing vines which happily climb when attached to a moss pole like the one you see here. You can even train the vines to grow in the desired direction or allow them to naturally cascade down, creating a visually stunning display. You'll probably have seen some train their plant to grow across a wall and it's happy to do this as long as the stems are supported.
