Hoya carnosa ‘Tricolour’ is a stunning and low-maintenance plant that’s perfect for adding a splash of colour to your space. Its thick, waxy leaves come in beautiful shades of green, cream, and pink, with the pink being especially vibrant on new growth. Known as a variegated wax plant, it’s a slow-growing trailing plant that looks fantastic in hanging baskets or cascading from a shelf. Bonus: it occasionally produces clusters of sweetly scented, star-shaped flowers, making it even more special.
Taking care of Hoya ‘Tricolour’ is simple, even for beginners. It thrives in bright, indirect light, which helps maintain its colourful variegation, but it can also tolerate lower light conditions. Water it only when the soil is completely dry, as it’s quite drought-tolerant and dislikes soggy roots. A well-draining potting mix is essential, and occasional feeding during the growing season will keep it happy. It’s also a long-lived plant that can grow with you for years, making it a lovely and rewarding addition to any indoor garden.
