All plants are measured from the bottom of the nursery pot to the tip of the plant and if a height is specified, this is an approximate height, not set in stone. The Peperomia argyreia comes from South America and belongs to the Peperomia family, which includes over 1,000 species of plants. This particular plant is aptly named Watermelon Peperomia because if you look at at a leaf on its own, it looks just like a small watermelon.
Like most of the plants at Leaf Culture, this is an easy to care for plant, requiring very litte care and attention. Prefers bright, indirect light - but never sun light otherwise the leaves will become scorched.
When watering this plant, give it a really good soak - remembering it's always best to water from the bottom up. Most plants do better with a really good drenching occasionally, rather than regular, small watering. A deep soak will encourage better root growth which means the plant is much stronger.
