All plants are measured from the bottom of the nursery pot to the tip of the plant and if a height is specified, this is an approximate height, not set in stone. As all plants are living things, they will vary in size throughout the year, and we do our best to give a guide as to the size you can expect. If in doubt drop us an email hello@leafculture.co.uk.
This dwarf variety of banana plant is just so tropical looking it's hard not to love it immediately. The paddle shaped leaves are soft to touch and the leaves are start off maroon (often with blotches) before these fade away to the green that you expect.
This plant really enjoys the sunshine so you can position it near a window and it will be perfectly happy. The best place for it is bright indirect light so not too much sun or shade. Watering wise, it's a thirsty plant so let it drink but don't keep the soil wet otherwise root rot will creep in.
It's worth noting that the leaves of the Musa Tropicana Oriental Dwarf bruise and tear easily so don't be surprised if this happens. It's very natural and in the wild it stops the plant becoming damaged by wind and rain.
