Ceropegia woodii Variegata, or String of Hearts, is a graceful trailing succulent native to South Africa, prized for its delicate heart-shaped foliage with distinctive silver and purple variegation. The slender vines cascade elegantly for several feet, adorned with small tubers that create a whimsical aesthetic—ideal for hanging displays or elevated shelving. Succulent leaves store water, enabling the plant to endure drought periods with minimal intervention, making it exceptionally low-maintenance.
In spring and summer, it produces charming tubular flowers resembling miniature lanterns in soft pink and purple tones. String of Hearts thrives in bright, indirect light and well-draining succulent soil; allow soil to dry between waterings to prevent root rot. Its resilience and architectural beauty make it a sophisticated choice for both seasoned collectors and newcomers.
Note: plants arrive coiled for protection—gently unwind and separate vines over several days to minimise foliage loss. Sent in nursery pots; decorative planters available separately.
